Recently Trainer Ephraim Phiri taught NLBI's Bible-based lessons at three high schools in Zambia -- a school supported by the Dutch Reformed Church, another supported by the Catholic Church, and a local high school, collectively ministering to more than 550 students and 15 teachers.
Ephraim was delighted about these opportunities and provided insight by saying, "It is often difficult for church-run schools to allow ministers from other Christian organizations to teach, due to fear of doctrinal dilution and theological differences. Many denominations are cautious about external teachings to protect their faith traditions. This makes opportunities such as this outreach very rare and significant.
"The Dutch Reformed Church Minister commented, 'The Sense of Self lesson brought clarity and spiritual maturity to our students. The NLBI curriculum is biblically sound and unifying rather than divisive. We witnessed a spiritual awakening among our learners because the teaching addressed real-life challenges with wisdom. We gladly invite you to return for further ministry.'
"The Catholic Priest was also very supportive. He said, 'Your curriculum and teaching upheld Christian values and moral responsibility, it also helped students rediscover their dignity as children of God. We appreciate your humility and approach to our institution.'
"(At the third school), I was warmly welcomed by the school administration and the dedicated teaching staff. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the NLBI curriculum, highlighting its profound relevance to the spiritual and moral development of their students."
