Support & Hope: Preacher Training

“Eastern Mission Training Center uses NLBI curriculum to provide practical ministry training and mentorship for preachers and church leaders who are actively serving or desiring to lead their churches in different capacities across the Eastern Region of Zambia. We thank God for the grace he has shown to us.

“We thank NLBI for the funds to support our preachers in training. It would have proved difficult to continue with our mission without these funds.

“Our recent graduating class consisted of 10 ministry students for a wonderful time of ministry and training. The student team participated in a variety of ministry opportunities, including outreach and evangelism, which saw 12 souls accepting Christ through baptism.

“Churches are located in rural areas, and all our preacher students depend on farming to feed their families. Part of our vision is to support the efforts of our preachers and churches by providing them with some physical needs, such as fertilizer, pesticides and seed for their farms. With the funds made available from NLBI, we were also able to provide our 10 graduated preachers with a bicycle, a Bible and a hymn book.

“Here are two of the many testimonies provided by students about how this training has impacted their lives and ministries.

‘One day a friend invited me to attend a “Sense of Self” seminar conducted by Ephraim Phiri. This seminar was the turning point of my life; it led me to have a desire to serve God as a preacher. Eastern Mission Training Center has really changed my focus in ministry, my walk with God, and my leadership.’

‘My upbringing was not in a Christian home. We did not go to church. I even made fun of some neighbors who did and tried to share their faith with me. But God put a desire in my heart to become his servant. I still feel strongly about this, and I continue to follow and live out my faith as a husband and a father. With the training from Eastern Mission Training Center, I have gained skills and knowledge in ministry management and also have learned a good approach on how to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with boldness. Thank you NLBI and Eastern Mission.’”

It is so exciting to read Kingdom-expanding testimonies from our friends in faraway countries. These faithful servants face difficult circumstances and are busy finding new and creative ways to go “deeper” into communities to “Restore Hope and Transform Lives.” Collectively they have planted more than 400 churches; and by using the 180+ lessons that NewLife Behavior International provides, they have the much-needed resources to help these churches develop disciple makers (II Timothy 2:2). Our hope is that you would prayerfully consider partnering with NLBI and our friends. Because of your willingness to share your time, talent and treasure, God’s name is being made “great among the nations” (Malachi 1:11). Philippians 1:4-6 New International Version “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
