True Freedom
- Mobile Prison Clinic, Dec 11, 2017
As usual, the December event began with Mobile Clinic which was conducted by Dr. Ananaba and Nurse Mercy. They have passion for the prisoners, just like Dr. Kay Price. (Dr. Kay Price is a Christian sister and a friend to Susana Homes, who always included my prison ministry as her priority whenever she visits Nigeria.
124 Prisoners were treated of various sicknesses.
Due to the humility and affection seen in Dr. Ananaba, the inmates were left to stay over their normal lockup time, because he told the warden that he would like to attend to all that have come out for medication.
We closed the mobile Clinic outreach by 5.54pm. There was joy and appreciation by the prisoners, Staff and DCP (Deputy Controller of Prisons) is the governor of Nigerian Prison Aba. They thanked me for having such a heart for the wellbeing of prisoners whom many people do not like to talk to nor visit. The DCP expressed his happiness and added that our congregation “is unique unlike other churches that come to prison”.
He appreciated the quality of lessons taught to the prisoners in our weekly Bible class which have helped them a lot and requested that I give them more of my time. The thanks and appreciation go to God for giving me the enablement to preach His word and to International Health Care Foundation (IHCF) via Brother Tom Carr for providing the funds for the medicine and Nigerian Christian Hospital through whom the mobile clinic was accomplished.
- December 12 & 13.
The NLBI Prison annual Lectureship commences on the 12th after the Mobile clinic.
Our theme was True Freedom with the following sub- headings:
- Free to Decide
- Those Who Decide
- Traits of those Who Decided for Christ
I invited the following preachers who are involved in prison ministry to come and help, learn and share their own experience.
- Evang Ikeben Osiah …………………. Elele Prison …. Rivers State
- Evang. Benson Nwadinobi ……….. Umuahai Prison... Abia State
- Barr C.J. George (Evang.) Uyo Prison…… Akwa Ibom State.
(Brother George came with another Evangelist from Uyo, Indongset Ekpo. He is involved in the ministry with brother George in Uyo Prison.
The lessons were presented with affection and were interactive. God’s willing, 56 prisoners gave their lives to Christ and were baptized on the last day, 13 December 2017.
In your prayers remember those new Christians, for them to remain strong in the Lord.

Free Mobile Clinic Outreach ‘Church of Christ Owo-Elu’
Church of Christ Owo Elu was established by the late Dr. Farrar during one of his trips to NCH (Nigerian Christian Hospital).
In July 2016 I visited the church on a Sunday morning and, to my greatest surprise, met 2 men, 4 women and 4 children. The men were so happy and asked me to help them conduct the service that day. They have no preacher because they cannot support one.
From that day on, I thought of how to revive the church and strengthen the remnants. I organized an Evangelism and lectureship in March 2017. There was one restoration after three weeks of the lectureship.
By December 27, I organized a Mobile Clinic Sponsored by IHCF, which was conducted by Dr Amarachi Okpolo of NHC, Nlagu, and 54 people were treated. The church and community were happy. Thanks to God and the church for caring for their health. Let us all help to revive the work done by our late Dr. Farrar to the glory of God. Please feel free to share with me what you think that will help to rebuild the church that is losing her members.
Thanks and God bless us all this 2018 to be more and more productive in His Service.
I remain yours in His service,
Friday Adima
