NLBI History

NewLife Behavior, as a ministry, has been helping individuals to be reconciled to God, family, and community since 1984. It has its roots in 2 Corinthians 5: 12-21. We are to be reconciled to God and then become ambassadors for Christ. This two- fold mission forms the basis of our work.

Starting as a Dallas, Texas based prison ministry, NLBI has evolved into a comprehensive service ministry reaching out to people of all walks of life. In August 1984, Dr. H. M. Motsinger, an educator and counselor, accepted the call to write a curriculum that would assist prison inmates to change their attitudes and actions. After four years of writing and teaching inmates, Head Chaplain, Emmett Solomon asked Dr. Motsinger to quit teaching the inmates and start training others men and women to teach the curriculum. By this time the term NewLife Behavior had been given to the ministry.

Who among us doesn’t need a second chance from time to time? This is where NLBI steps in. NLBI provides a Christian based and relationship oriented curriculum. These lessons are provided to individuals or groups in a caring environment where the leader is also a seeker and studymate. The lessons can be studied by postal correspondence, e-mail, online or in a classroom situation.

After more than a quarter century of continuous use, these resources have a successful track record in helping people of all ages connect simple but significant, often over looked, ideas and life changing relationships.
